Spring Creek Rehabilitation and Nursing Center is currently looking for a full time Private Collections Specialist! This role requires a strong understanding of financial concepts and the ability to navigate various financial software systems effectively.
Requirements of the Private Collections Specialist:
- Must have experience in collections.
- Must have knowledge of Medicare.
- Proficiency in debits and credits, ensuring accurate financial transactions.
- Experience with accounting software and financial software applications.
- Must be computer literate (MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint skills).
- Strong knowledge of accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.
- Familiarity with financial concepts related to revenue cycle management.
- Ability to perform account reconciliation efficiently.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively engage with clients.
- Strong problem-solving skills to address client concerns and payment disputes effectively.
- Must successfully complete a post offer, pre-employment criminal background check and physical / drug screen.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing accounts receivable, ensuring timely collection of debts, and maintaining positive relationships with clients.
Responsibilities of the Private Collections Specialist:
- Manage and oversee the collection process for outstanding debts, ensuring compliance with company policies and regulations.
- Communicate with clients via phone, email, or in-person to discuss payment options and resolve any disputes.
- Maintain accurate records of all interactions with clients regarding their accounts.
- Perform account reconciliations to ensure accuracy in billing and payments received.
- Collaborate with the accounts payable team to resolve discrepancies and streamline processes.
- Utilize financial software to track payments, generate reports, and analyze collection trends.
- Stay informed about industry trends related to revenue cycle management and medical billing practices.
