What are the responsibilities and job description for the Recertification Specialist II position at Spring Creek Towers?
Position Description: The Recertification Specialist II is a staffer who possesses great organizational skills, is detail oriented, can multi-task, has the ability to coordinate complex situations, prioritizes work, meet deadlines, is analytical, has great customer service and is reliable. The Rental and Recertification departments will merge to one definitive department. The expectation for each individual will be to process an application at full length (from Move-in to Recertification). This merger will further strengthen our SCT Compliance department and is expected to result in greater efficiencies and increase or productivity. Position Responsibilities: Responsible for processing all Section 8 and/or 236 Annual, Interim, Initial certification HUD 50059 lease signing.
Run monthly and quarterly EIV reports. Comply with all EIV Requirements
Meet with tenants to discuss concerns, related to rent charges determine by recertification(s).
Ability to calculate household income and assets while verifying the proper allowances and deductions
Enter data into appropriate data base, update trackers.
Organize and purge files as needed. Maintain resident files in a clean and organized manner per company policies.
Maintain assigned caseload.
Process timely letters notifying tenants of upcoming recertifications.
Prepare and send out all Third-party verification forms.
Contact applicants to schedule interviews and determine eligibility for a unit, schedule unit showings, calculate income and asset, if approved, schedule move in and coordinates with Property Management department.
Submit completed move in files to Assistant Director of Quality Assurance for review and approval.
Knowledge of MORs and knowledge of HUD Handbook
Be available to meet with residents during Wednesday late nights and one Saturdays a month, as needed.
Represent the company in a professional manner at all the times
Provides organizational and administrative support for the Recert Dept. as needed
Perform other related duties as assigned (i.e.: reporting, administrative tasks, etc.)
