Spring Education Group is seeking an experienced Benefits Manager to oversee the administration and management of our employee benefits programs for a large organization. The ideal candidate will have:

As a Benefits Manager, you will ensure a robust offering of benefit plans, maintain compliance with regulations, and provide strategic insights to leadership on trends and opportunities for improvement.
Key Responsibilities
Employee Benefits Program Management: Oversee all aspects of the employee benefits program, including group health, 401(k) retirement plan, leave of absence/accommodations, and workers’ compensation, ensuring alignment with company policies and objectives.
Team Supervision: Lead a team of benefits administrators, providing guidance, training, and performance feedback to ensure prompt, effective customer service.
Open Enrollment Oversight: Project manage and lead Open Enrollment, including plan configuration, eligibility and enrollment files, communication, benefit guides, and summaries.
Routine Benefits Administration: Manage processes such as benefit enrollments, COBRA, carrier/vendor file transfers, employee benefit deductions, invoice processing, ACA compliance, audits, and reconciliations.
401(k) Administration: Oversee eligibility, enrollment, employer matching, loans, compliance testing, annual financial audit, and timely auditing.
Leave & Workers' Compensation Management: Administer leaves of absence, accommodations, and the workers' compensation program via third-party vendors.
Regulatory Compliance: Ensure adherence to federal and state laws, including ERISA, HIPAA, ACA, and other relevant regulations.
Data Analysis & Decision Making: Analyze benefits data, prepare reports, and provide insights to improve program offerings.
Vendor & Carrier Relations: Manage relationships with benefits carriers and vendors to optimize service delivery.
Process Documentation & Improvement: Maintain administrative procedures, HR and employee-facing educational materials, and continuously evaluate internal processes for efficiency.
Qualifications
Strong knowledge of federal and state regulations related to benefits, 401(k), leaves of absence, and workers' compensation.
Proven experience in team management and fostering a high-performing work environment.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain complex benefits concepts to employees at all levels.
Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail to ensure accuracy and compliance.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to identify trends, recommend solutions, and drive process improvements.
Accountability: Ability to take responsibility for work, establish trust, and be receptive to feedback.
Demonstrated ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
Education & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in benefits administration, focusing on health and retirement plans.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint), with advanced Excel skills required.
Ability to learn new software systems for benefits management (Dayforce experience is a plus).
Professional certifications such as Certified Employee Benefits Specialist (CEBS) or Certified Benefits Professional (CBP) are a plus.
