What are the responsibilities and job description for the Summer Camp Counselor position at Spring Education Group?
Summary:
As a Camp Counselor at Chesterbrook Academy, you will create, manage, and participate in a variety of new adventures ensuring that our campers create unforgettable memories and develop valuable new skills. Camp Counselors collaborate professionally with other staff, parents, and outside vendors to promote the general well-being of the school, and the collective/individual interest of its staff and student body.
Responsibilities:
Culture: Positively influence your peers to work toward and meet the school’s vision of excellence. Provides and maintains quality education programs. Ensures successful implementation of approved curriculum.
Health & Safety: Prioritizes a safe, clean, and attractive camp environment. Maintains compliance with camp standards and state licensing requirements as well as all applicable state and federal laws, and internal policies and procedures.
Engage, Inspire, Experience: Our counselors are committed to creating an unforgettable experience for campers while empowering them to embrace challenges and new opportunities with courage, confidence, and determination.
Relationship Building: Have a strong desire to work collaboratively with a talented team of diverse staff and administrators. Develop and maintain interpersonal relationships with the families, students, and community.
Minimum Qualifications:
Must be 18 years of age or older.
Often carrying and lifting 25 pounds or less (25-50%) and occasionally carrying 25-50 pounds (10-25%).
Ability to successfully pass a state and federal background check.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills and ability to connect with students.
