NOTE: This is a full-time, permanent, on-site position in Downtown Vancouver
*This role could include a flexible hybrid work model, with arrangements based on business priorities and team requirements.
What Youll Be Doing:
- Manage network infrastructure, including switches , APs, security cameras, and firewalls.
- Manage our cloud network in AWS and remote office connections to it.
- Manage our endpoint security software and DNS-layer security software.
- Manage our remote access VPN software and its configurations.
- Monitor network performance and troubleshoot issues for optimal functionality.
- Implement and monitor security measures and practices to keep our network secure.
- Respond to network incidents promptly and provide technical support.
- Maintain and create documentation of network infrastructure and processes.
- Collaborate with IT teams and provide expertise on network topics.
- Plan for network growth, refreshments, and evaluate new technologies.
- Work with vendors to facilitate new networking and security hardware and software purchases and renewals.
- Assist teammates with tasks as time permits
- Perform after hour upgrades and maintenance as needed.
What You Should Already Have:
- Degree in IT or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 3 years of experience as a Network Administrator.
- Strong understanding of networking concepts and protocols: BGP, VLAN, NAT, LACP, DNS, DHCP, Site-to-Site VPN.
- Experience working with AWS services: VPC, EC2, Route53, Resource Access Manager, Transit Gateway.
- Experience with Palo Alto firewalls and Cisco switches.
- Proficiency in security practices and monitoring tools.
- Problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Industry certifications such as CCNA, PCNSA are a plus.

Salary : $70,000 - $90,000
