What are the responsibilities and job description for the Elementary School Teacher position at Spring Garden Academy?
Spring Garden Academy (SGA). a ministry of Highway Tabernacle/Resurrection Life Church, is a private Philadelphia Christian school, educating children grades preschool to 8th. We are preparing the next generation of servant leaders for the urban family, church, and community.
We are currently looking for 1-2 qualified individuals to join our small but vibrant school family to close out this school year.
We are seeking candidates who understand our vision and mission and are committed to a holistic view of Christian education in a high-risk community. We place a high focus on meeting the needs of at-risk and trauma-impacted families and encourage a collaborative approach to teaching and support.
The candidate should have a strong commitment to differentiated instruction, spiritual development, child-focused learning, standards-based reporting, ongoing formative assessment, professional growth, and understanding of at-risk communities, and a school family model of education highly desired. Familiarity with child Conscious Discipline, social-emotional learning, and/or trauma-informed practices a plus. This is also a good role for someone for a grad student.
Full-time(salaried) may be possible for the right candidate. Part-time hourly is also a possibility.

Pay: $28.00 - $32.00 per hour
Expected hours: 20 – 40 per week
