To assist the Facilities Services Manager and maintenance and custodial departments in painting and maintenance of the Grounds, Equipment, and Facilities, utilized by the School District.
Job Summary:
Maintain the painting of district facilities including the classrooms, hallways, sidewalk lines, poles, etc.
Operate painting equipment ensuring the safety of students, staff, other users of district facilities and property of the School District.
Assist the maintenance staff or perform assigned maintenance tasks as scheduled (painting, mulching, filter replacement, etc) by the Facilities Services Manager or designated representative.
Perform all other duties as assigned by the Facilities Services Manager.
Qualifications:
TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE
Current High School Students or Graduation from high school or GED equivalent
Experience and knowledge of equipment involved in the grounds maintenance and snow removal functions in the district.
Ability to use paining equipment to maintain the high standards of the school District
Familiarity with spray painting guns, brushes, rollers, ladders and paint cleaning equipment.
GENERAL
Ability to lift and carry 40lbs.
Ability to tolerate frequent walking and exposure to the outdoors.
Ability to frequently travel to school district facilities.
Ability to work as a member of a team.
Ability to communicate effectively with all staff.
Ability to follow written and verbal directions.
Maintain a valid driver’s license.
Receipt of current, favorable clearances including: Pennsylvania State Criminal History (Act 34), Federal Criminal History (FBI – Fingerprinting - Act 114), Pennsylvania Child Abuse (Act 151), and Sexual Misconduct and Abuse Disclosures (Act 168).
