Summary/Objective

The position of the Memorialization Specialist is established to support the memorialization process for our families.
Essential Functions

  • Communication both verbal and written
  • Interface with customers and vendors in-person
  • Proficient in Excel, Word, Power Point and Outlook
  • Some travel between campuses to meet families
Primary Duties:
Memorialization – Spring Grove
  • Maintain working knowledge of Spring Grove’s Rules and Regulations as they apply to
monuments, markers, niches, and inscriptions.
  • Prepare CAD drawing proofs for approvals, revisions and correspondence with vendors, advisors and customers
  • Granite Proofs
  • Laser Etching proofs
  • LM III Plaques
  • Bronze proofs
  • Order, Track, Process and update granite, bronze, laser markers, niche inscription, and final dates
  • Order, track, and process vases, urns, and easels.
  • Update CMS Deliverables
  • Maintain Urn Inventory
  • Prepare status reports
  • Maintain contracts paid-off report
  • Maintain markers on-hold report
  • Maintain Plotfinder uploads
  • Process granite, bronze, and laser deliveries.
  • Coordinate with monument companies
  • Coordinate with cemetery sexton and marker technicians
  • Assist with inventory tracking
  • Process Interment work orders to reconcile final inscription needs
  • Prepare final inscription letters
  • Process final inscription orders and payments
  • Correspondence with outside vendors
  • Installed markers, inscriptions, and final date reports
  • Customer service support
  • Assist customers and advisors as needed
  • Cross-Train for support of Memorial Team
  • Special projects as needed

Work Environment
This position operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, printers, fax machines, and cleaning supplies.
Physical Demands
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
While performing the duties of this position, the employee is regularly required to talk and/or hear. The employee frequently is required to sit; stand; walk; bending; kneeling; lifting; and reaching with hands and arms. Required to lift up to 30 pounds.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time on-site Non-Exempt position. Business days and hours of work are:
Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Travel
Local travel is required between campuses for support.
Required Education, Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Experience
  • High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • CorelDraw Preferred
  • Preferred two years of general office experience or business school experience
  • Typing at 60 WPM accurately
  • Proficient in Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook
  • Strong communication skills, both oral and written.
  • Must have ability to work independently and have good problem-solving skills.
  • Displays a “Customer First” attitude.
