About the Role:
We are currently seeking an experienced and strategic Applications Manager to join our Healthcare IT team. This is an onsite role with direct responsibility for leading application teams, implementing major technologies, and driving operational excellence in our application environment. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, a background in Infor, Healthcare IT, and Epic systems, and proven success managing direct reports in a fast-paced, collaborative setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the strategic development and evolution of application environments
- Manage the full lifecycle implementation of major new technologies
- Develop and grow a team of functional and technical professionals
- Actively participate in all phases of system implementations:
- Requirements gathering
- Functional and technical design
- System development and testing
- Rollout and ongoing support
- Forecast requirements and manage department budget, expenditures, and variances
- Troubleshoot and document application issues, configurations, and customizations
- Oversee user needs analysis and recommend application and infrastructure solutions
- Implement productivity and quality improvements, particularly through automation
- Recruit, train, evaluate, and lead a team of IT professionals
- Participate in IT governance and represent the department on key steering committees
- Enforce IT policies and procedures
- Prepare and present decision documents and project updates to leadership
- Perform additional duties as assigned
Requirements:
Education:
- Bachelor's Degree required
(OR 10 years of relevant experience in lieu of degree)
Experience:
- Minimum 5 years in an IT management role (Required)
- 7 years in Healthcare IT management (Preferred)
- Experience managing direct reports and cross-functional teams
- Proven experience in enterprise applications (Infor, Epic preferred)
Certifications (Preferred but not required):
- ITIL v4 Foundation
- Six Sigma Lean Green Belt
- PMP (Project Management Professional)

- Strong leadership and decision-making skills
- Excellent communication, planning, and organizational abilities
- Deep understanding of IT systems in a healthcare setting
- Ability to manage change, prioritize multiple initiatives, and drive performance
- Hands-on experience with budgeting, resource management, and strategic planning
