Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team in beautiful Coos Bay, Oregon. Within the RN scope of practice as defined by the Oregon State Board of Nursing, you will apply the nursing process to the care of patients, educate patients and their families, document all care provided in the medical record, and collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to coordinate patient-centered care.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality nursing care to patients in an intermediate/progressive care setting
- Monitor and assess patients with complex conditions, including those in PCU, IMCU, Telemetry, or Stepdown units
- Educate patients and their families on treatment plans and recovery processes
- Accurately document all nursing interventions and patient responses
- Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes
- Adhere to hospital policies and state board regulations
Requirements:
- Recent acute care hospital experience (within the past 2 years) – Required
- Minimum 2 years of intermediate/progressive care experience – Required
- Facility will consider candidates with PCU, IMCU, Telemetry, or Stepdown experience
- Willingness to obtain an Oregon RN license if not currently held
- Certifications do not need to be active at time of submission but must be willing to obtain prior to start
Certifications (Required):
- BLS (AHA)
- ACLS (AHA)
State License Requirement:
- Oregon RN License – Must be willing to obtain if not currently active
