What are the responsibilities and job description for the Surg Tech - - General/Vascular OR position at Spring Health?
Note:
This assignment requires a highly skilled and experienced Surgical Technologist with a broad range of expertise across multiple specialties, including Orthopedics, Neurosurgery, Vascular, and more. Only candidates with a comprehensive and current skillset across these areas will be considered.
Important Details:
- Actual weekly hours and shift schedule will be discussed and determined during the phone interview
- Guaranteed weekly hours will be based on the hours agreed upon during that conversation
Candidates without the required level of experience will not be considered for this assignment.
Schedule: 36–40 hours/week
- Option for three 12-hour shifts, four 10-hour shifts, or five 8-hour shifts
- Start and end times negotiable
- Call Requirements:
- Approx. every 5th weekend on call (shared between Call 1 and Call 2)
- 1–2 weekday calls per week (also split between Call 1 and Call 2)
- 30-minute response time required (from time of call to arrival on-site)
- Call volume may increase based on department needs and staffing changes
- Holiday call rotation may be required depending on contract dates and department census
Requirements:
- Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technology program
- BLS certification required
- CST preferred, but not mandatory
- Excellent critical thinking skills
- Strong knowledge of central processing and surgical instrumentation required
- Must have a wide breadth of current experience, including Ortho, Neuro, Vascular, and other specialties
- Candidates without comprehensive, up-to-date surgical experience will not be considered
