What are the responsibilities and job description for the Client Care Specialist position at Spring Hill Physical Therapy?
Spring Hill Physical Therapy is looking for a part-time Client Care Specialist with exceptional customer service skills and attention to detail. Previous medical office experience is preferred, but not required. Maturity, excellent customer service skills, computer expertise and fluency, and the ability to multi-task in a detail-oriented, fast-paced setting are necessary.
The talent to work as a collaborative member of a team and to successfully communicate with patients, therapists, and management is also a must. The right candidate must be detail-oriented and thorough with a high standard for the work they do, and be able able to multitask effectively.
Most importantly, we are seeking a warm and compassionate person who will thrive in providing an exceptional experience for our patients in a welcoming and healing environment. While specific experience can be very helpful, we are looking for a team member who is kind, responsible, dependable, and willing to learn; we are always willing to mentor and train the right candidate.
The open position is approx. 22-25 hours/week for a daily early afternoon-closing (6-6:30pm) shift. Applicants must be available Monday-Friday for this daily timeframe.
The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:
- Greeting and directing patients and visitors
- Answering and managing multiple phone lines
- Overseeing and ensuring the efficiency of the patients’ and therapists’ schedules
- Processing and maintaining patient records and information
- Verifying insurance benefits and reviewing them with patients
- Receiving and recording payments for services and products
- Completing cleaning tasks as necessary (e.g., opening or closing duties, etc.)
- A general understanding of how medical insurance works and terminology associated with insurance plans, authorization processes, medical specialty language is helpful (diagnoses, etc)
- Carrying out other reporting, EMR, and detail-driven tasks thoroughly
