Position Overview:
The Director of Rehabilitation will oversee the rehabilitation department, providing leadership and direction to ensure the delivery of high-quality physical, occupational, and speech therapy services to our residents. The Director will work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals, residents, and families to create personalized care plans that support recovery, improve functional abilities, and enhance the overall well-being of residents.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead, manage, and mentor the rehabilitation team, including physical therapists, occupational therapists, speech therapists, and rehabilitation aides.
- Develop and implement policies and procedures that ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, facility standards, and best practices in rehabilitation care.
- Oversee the assessment, development, and execution of individualized treatment plans for residents.
- Ensure the delivery of evidence-based, patient-centered rehabilitation services that improve patient outcomes and enhance quality of life.
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of rehabilitation programs, making adjustments as needed to ensure optimal results.
- Maintain and manage the department’s budget, staffing, and resource allocation to maximize efficiency and productivity.
- Collaborate with physicians, nursing staff, and other healthcare providers to coordinate comprehensive care for residents.
- Stay current on industry trends, regulatory changes, and emerging rehabilitation therapies to ensure the department remains innovative and compliant.
- Foster a positive and supportive work environment that promotes team collaboration, professional growth, and job satisfaction.
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Speech-Language Pathology, or related field.
- Current licensure and certification in the Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, or Speech-Language Pathology.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a rehabilitation setting, with at least 2 years in a leadership or management role.
- Strong knowledge of regulatory requirements and industry standards in skilled nursing and rehabilitation services.
- Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
