Housekeeping and Laundry Aide responsibilities include:
- Clean and sanitize patient rooms, offices, breakrooms and dining area using cleaning chemicals and disinfectants
- Clean and sanitize floors, equipment and furniture according to infection-control policies
- Operate various types of cleaning equipment
- Handle and dispose of waste using standard procedures
- Monitor inventory of supplies such as paper towels, soap, toilet paper
- Maintain and work within established departmental, center, and corporate policies and procedures, objectives, quality improvement program, and safety, environmental, and infection control standards.
- Label clothes and personal items of patients
- Washing, drying, folding and performing various laundry duties as needed
Qualification Requirements:
- High school graduate or G. E. D. equivalent
All candidates must pass pre-employment drug screen and Pa. Criminal Background in accordance with the Pa. Older Adult Protection Act.
