Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Maintenance Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing a variety of maintenance tasks to ensure the functionality and safety of our facilities. This role requires a strong understanding of facilities maintenance, electrical systems, and the ability to read schematics. The Maintenance Technician will play a crucial role in maintaining a safe and efficient environment for all occupants.
Responsibilities
- Conduct regular inspections of facilities to identify maintenance needs and safety hazards.
- Perform repairs and maintenance on electrical systems, plumbing, HVAC, and other building systems.
- Utilize tools and equipment to fabricate, weld, and repair components as necessary.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities using Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS).
- Troubleshoot issues using diagnostic tools such as an ohmmeter to ensure proper functioning of equipment.
- Assist with residential painting projects as needed to maintain aesthetic quality.
- Collaborate with team members to complete larger projects efficiently and effectively.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies during all maintenance activities.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in facilities maintenance or a related field is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems and ability to read schematics is essential.
- Proficiency in welding techniques and fabrication skills is a plus.
- Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
- Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail in maintaining equipment and facilities.
- Familiarity with CMMS software is advantageous but not required.
- Must be able to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
