Position Overview for Director of Environmental Services :
We are seeking a dedicated and proactive Director of Environmental Services to oversee the maintenance and upkeep of our community’s physical plant, including all housekeeping and engineering operations. The ideal candidate will ensure a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for our residents while managing a team of staff dedicated to excellence in service.
Key Responsibilities as Director of Environmental Services :
Facility Management : Oversee the cleanliness and maintenance of the community, ensuring that it meets health and safety standards.
Staff Leadership : Manage, train, and evaluate housekeeping and maintenance teams, fostering a culture of respect and accountability.
Problem Solving : Conduct daily walkthroughs to identify and document maintenance issues; respond promptly to ongoing maintenance requests.
Budget Management : Assist in developing and adhering to the annual budget for environmental services, ensuring efficient use of resources.
Regulatory Compliance : Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations, maintaining necessary logs and documentation.
Vendor Coordination : Manage relationships with outside service providers for repairs and maintenance, obtaining competitive bids as needed.
