Position Overview for Caregiver (CHHA):
We are currently seeking dedicated Certified Home Health Aides (CHHA) to assist our residents in the Assisted Living Program with their daily activities. You will help enable residents to lead fulfilling lives while maintaining their dignity and independence. Reporting to the Director of Resident Care, you will be an essential part of our team, providing support that enhances the overall well-being of our residents.
Key Responsibilities:
Assistance with Daily Living: Support residents with bathing, grooming, dressing, transferring, eating, toileting, and other daily activities to promote their independence.
Emotional Support: Provide emotional and social support to residents, creating a warm, caring environment where they feel valued and understood.
Service Plan Adherence: Follow service plans meticulously to ensure residents’ individual care needs are met.
Training & Mentorship: Assist in training new caregivers and serve as a resource for fellow staff members.
Care Coordination: Review resident care schedules daily to ensure accuracy and completeness, addressing all needs effectively.
Documentation: Maintain accurate documentation in accordance with departmental standards, promptly informing supervisors of any resident issues or concerns.
Safety & Compliance: Familiarize yourself with emergency procedures and health regulations to help maintain a safe and compliant environment.

Experience and Education Requirements:
High School Diploma or General Education Degree; or six to twelve months of related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Must possess a Certified Home Health Aide Certificate (CHHA) in the state of NJ.
