Key Responsibilities:
- Assistance with Daily Living: Support residents with bathing, grooming, dressing, transferring, eating, toileting, and other daily activities to promote their independence.
- Emotional Support: Provide emotional and social support to residents, creating a warm, caring environment where they feel valued and understood.
- Service Plan Adherence: Follow service plans meticulously to ensure residents’ individual care needs are met.
- Training & Mentorship: Assist in training new caregivers and serve as a resource for fellow staff members.
- Care Coordination: Review resident care schedules daily to ensure accuracy and completeness, addressing all needs effectively.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate documentation in accordance with departmental standards, promptly informing supervisors of any resident issues or concerns.
- Safety & Compliance: Familiarize yourself with emergency procedures and health regulations to help maintain a safe and compliant environment.
- Compassionate Nature: A genuine desire to enhance residents' lives through empathetic and caring interactions.
- Strong Communicator: Ability to communicate effectively with residents, families, and colleagues.
- Detail-Oriented: Excellent attention to detail in following care plans and documentation requirements.
- Team Player: A collaborative spirit willing to support teammates and work together towards common goals.
- High School Diploma or General Education Degree; or six to twelve months of related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Must possess a Certified Home Health Aide Certificate (CHHA) in the state of NJ.
