- Develop and coordinate a variety of social, fitness, wellness, and educational programs.
- Encourage resident participation and engagement.
- Manage the Spring Cottage Recreation Program, focusing on dementia-friendly activities.
- Recruit, train, and lead recreational staff and volunteers.
- Oversee department budget, documentation, and supply management.
- Coordinate outings, transportation, and special events.
- Collaborate with other departments for shared programming.
- Organize family education sessions, support groups, and community outreach.
- Bachelor’s degree in recreation, social work, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Experience in activity planning and staff supervision, preferably in senior living.
- Knowledge of dementia care and specialized programming.
- Strong leadership, organization, and communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as needed.
