Position Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and responsible Driver to join our team. This role is essential in ensuring the safe and timely transportation of residents to appointments, outings, and other scheduled activities while providing excellent customer service and assistance.
Driver Key Responsibilities:
- Safe Transportation: Safely transport residents to and from medical appointments, social outings, and other destinations as required.
- Resident Assistance: Provide courteous and supportive assistance to residents entering and exiting the vehicle.
- Vehicle Maintenance: Perform routine safety checks and ensure the vehicle is clean, fueled, and in proper working condition.
- Compliance & Safety: Follow all traffic laws, safety regulations, and facility policies related to resident transportation.
- Communication: Maintain clear and professional communication with residents, families, and staff to coordinate transportation needs.
- Responsible & Safety-Conscious: Maintains a strong focus on safety and compliance.
- Compassionate: Provides patient, courteous, and respectful assistance to residents.
- Team Player: Works collaboratively with staff to ensure residents’ transportation needs are met.
- Reliable & Professional: Demonstrates strong ethics, punctuality, and accountability.
- License: Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record required. CDL preferred but not required.
- Experience: Prior experience transporting seniors or individuals in an assisted living or healthcare setting preferred.
- Knowledge: Familiarity with safe wheelchair transportation and accessibility requirements is a plus.
