About The Community:
Spring Oak York is looking for a Dietary Director for our Assisted Living. The food service department includes overseeing food production and service while ensuring all aspects of the operations adhere to budgetary guidelines while maintaining, or exceeding hospitality and service standards.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for inventory control and product orders.
- Planning of staff schedules for food preparation, serving, and clean up.
- Implementation and changes to menus.
- Ensure that a daily preparation plan is reviewed with the prep staff each day, at least one day in advance.
- Supervise and participate in food preparation for meals.
- Plan and provide catering services within the community.
- Ensure proper maintenance of equipment in cooperation with the Executive Director.
- Ensure that the dining area is set and maintained according to procedures.
- Responsible for meeting budget requirements for supplies, food, and labor costs.
- Assist in recruitment, orientation, and training of Food and Beverage Services Associates.
- Solicit feedback from residents concerning food preferences and menu satisfaction.
- Responsible for overall resident satisfaction with dining program.
- Must complete all orientation and training requirements as outlined by state regulations and Spring Oak Living at Warrenton, LLC policies and procedures.
- Ensure kitchen's compliance with all local, state and federal standards.
- Maintain current local, state, and federal license to operate commercial kitchen, if applicable.
- Maintain local and state certification to perform their duties, if applicable.
- Attend to other duties as requested by the Executive Director.
- Required Skills, Education, and Experience:
- High School diploma or equivalent required
- Minimum of two years cooking experience or culinary school and one year of management experience in a kitchen setting
- Quality catering and dining presentation experience preferred Environment:
- Works often in clean well-lit kitchen and dining area.
- Operates kitchen equipment.
