What are the responsibilities and job description for the Charge Nurse RN-ER position at Spring View Hospital?
The RN is to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient/family needs for ages neonate through geriatric. The RN demonstrates professional development and clinical competency; utilizes the nursing process, to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care; addresses health educational needs for patients, families, and other health care providers; manages patient care assignments as well as other organizational tasks related to patient and unit operations; acts in a clinical leadership role; applies knowledge of growth and development in patient interactions; performs other related duties. Determines needs of the area and acts to resolve them. Can anticipate issues prior to them becoming major and work to resolve them in a timely manner. Can calm staff, physicians, patients and families effectively.
Completion of an Associate Degree from a School of Nursing, with current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the State of Kentucky. Certification in area of specialty preferred. One to two years clinical experience mandatory. CPR certification required; ACLS & PALS w/in 6 months of hire; TNCC w/in 12 months of hire.
