What are the responsibilities and job description for the Registration Representative position at Spring View Hospital?
The role of the Patient Registration Representative is to greet and interview patients or their representative, to obtain all necessary information and signatures required for treatment, prepare and distribute all pertinent patient informational material, obtain insurance authorizations, direct and/or escort patients to the appropriate department or floor, answer and distribute switchboard calls as needed, and demonstrate knowledge of behavior and skills to appropriately deal with patients from Neonate/Infant (birth-one year) through Geriatric (age 65 and up).
High school Graduate or equivalent preferred. Experience in a customer service environment and knowledge of basic clerical functions. Employee must have excellent telephone, communication and public relation skills. Prior medical, clerical, or secretarial experience preferred but not required.
