Position Summary: The LNA/RA is responsible for providing the highest degree of quality care and services to a consistent group of residents and their families in our assisted living memory care neighborhoods The LNA/RA role includes providing hands-on care, physical and emotional support, while maintaining a safe and comfortable home-like environment.

• High School diploma / GED accepted and maybe required per state regulations
• Must be at least 18 years of age
• May have LNA license; Medication Supervision Certification is a plus
• Previous experience working with seniors preferred and desire to serve and care for seniors
• Ability to make choices, decisions, and act in the resident’s best interest
• Ability to react and remain calm in difficult situations
• Ability to handle multiple priorities
• Must possess written and verbal skills for effective communication and level of understanding
• Demonstrates good judgment, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
• Maintains universal care precautions of cleanliness, hygiene, and health standards
• Ability to stand/walk 4-7 hours per during an 8 hour shift
• Maintains proper certifications as required by the state and participates in all required training

Essential Duties

• Observes, reports, and documents symptoms and conditions of residents
• Reviews, reads, notates, and initializes daily logs to document and learn about pertinent information and any resident’s physical and/or behavioral changes
• Helps maintain the self-respect, personal dignity, and physical safety of each resident adhering to the standards of Resident Rights
• Strives to understand and respond to each resident with empathy; always mindful of the resident’s unique communication patterns and history
• Checks residents for changes in skin condition, side effects of medication, and overall health conditions
• Ensures established safety procedures are being followed at all times
• Maintains universal care precautions of cleanliness, hygiene, and health standards

Full time and part time schedules require every other Saturday and Sunday, per diem schedules require one full weekend a month.'
