What are the responsibilities and job description for the PRN Domestic Violence Support Staff position at Springboard Community Services?
Hiring a PRN - as needed- position. Weekend /Overnight schedule. Perfect for college students, or for someone looking for flexible hours and interested in gaining some human service experience or retired individual who is looking to stay busy while helping those in need. Currently is an 8 hour shift with the choice of day, evening and overnight. A minimum of 4 shifts per month. You will also be obligated to work a rotating holiday schedule (time and half pay) and eligible to pick up additional hours as PRN throughout the month.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
· Create a comfortable and safe stay for victims and children
· Assess for appropriateness of placement and ensure safe placement of family in danger.
· Respond to callers on the 24 hour hotline for domestic violence victims
· Be able to give support to victims that might need reassurance and encouragement.
· Assist with the upkeep of common areas and work alongside victims to keep the environment comfortable and clean.
· Observation of the camera system
· Opportunity to participate in ongoing Outreach activities
· Other duties as assigned.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $19.57 - $21.63 per hour

Education:
- High school or equivalent (Required)
Experience:
- providing crisis to families: 1 year (Required)
License/Certification:
- Driver's License and safe driving record (Required)
