Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Interventional Radiology Technologist to join our team for a 13-week travel assignment in Kenner, Louisiana. As an Interventional Radiology Technologist, you will be responsible for preparing patients for procedures, operating imaging equipment, and providing critical support to medical staff.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare patients for procedures by explaining the process, positioning them on the examination table, and ensuring their comfort and safety
- Operate imaging equipment, such as fluoroscopy machines and CT scanners, to produce high-quality images of internal structures
- Provide critical support to medical staff during procedures, including administering contrast agents and monitoring patient vital signs
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of patient information, procedures performed, and imaging results
- Collaborate with radiologists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care delivery
Requirements:
- Current certification or registration as an Interventional Radiology Technologist
- 1-2 years of experience in Interventional Radiology
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Knowledge of radiation safety protocols and procedures
