SUMMARY: Serves directly as Secretary to the Principal, preparing general office correspondence, reports and documents, along with all other duties required in this position. Reports to the Principal.

Hours of Work: Eight (8) hours per day/213 day contract
Salary and Benefits: According to the negotiated agreement. $18.31 per hour

DUTIES/PERFORMANCE EXPECTIONS - ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Prepares general office correspondence, reports and documents (e.g., letters, EMIS, sick leave, memos, grade cards, etc.).
- Receives and makes telephone calls, receives visitors, exchanges information and directs messages to appropriate personnel.
- Prepares and responds to correspondence; receives and routes incoming mail to appropriate personnel; oversees routing of inter-office mail; and prepares outgoing mail.
- Maintains office filing system and records including student information records.
- Operates equipment (e.g., computer, typewriter, copier, public address system, etc.).
- Creates purchase orders, places orders, sorts, and delivers teacher supplies.
- Schedules appointments and meetings for the building administrators.
- Responds to routine inquiries/complaints or timely refers to appropriate party.
- Composes basic communications between the school, patrons, and other agencies.
- Maintains confidentiality of matters involving individual students and staff.
- Maintains AESOP/Absence Management substitutes call system and manages classroom coverage as needed to ensure all classes are covered.
- Demonstrates regular and predictable attendance.
- Demonstrates positive relationship with students, staff and parents.
- Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor and job description.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Training or experience which evidences strong secretarial skills, including computer skills and typing.
- Must possess valid Ohio driver's license.
- Must pass criminal background check.
