What are the responsibilities and job description for the Driver/Transporter position at SpringBrook Behavioral Health System?
Driver/Transport
Driver/ Transports, patients and residents safely for medical appointments and other outings in accordance with all laws and regulations and SpringBrook standards.
· Delivers transportation services in a pleasant manner for the residents and patients. When not transporting patients must be willing to work on the unit as an Mental Health Assistant.
· Transport patients/residents safely and timely to appointments.
· Assist patients/residents with boarding and de-boarding vehicle especially those with special needs.
· · Demonstrates safe driving techniques to protect patients/residents.
· Tracks mileage in vehicle log
· Maintain receipts for vehicle expenses
· Responds proactively to prevent patient/resident injuries during transporting
· Keeps vehicle’s interior and exterior clean and safe.
· Represent SpringBrook in a professional manner during appointments and outings.
Minimum Requirements:
· Must have a high school diploma or equivalent
· Must have a valid SC driver’s license with no restrictions
. Candidates must have experience in patient transport and demonstrate flexibility for long-distance driving.
· Must demonstrate excellent customer service and hospitality
· Must demonstrate trustworthiness and dependability
· Must understand patient rights and comply with SpringBrook policies
· Displays integrity and professionalism at all times.
· Must always be in proper attire and well groomed
· Experience preferred but not required
