What are the responsibilities and job description for the Receptionist position at SpringBrook Village of La Crescent?
BASIC FUNCTIONS:
· Receiving visitors at the front desk by greeting, welcoming, directing and announcing them appropriately
· Answering, screening and forwarding incoming phone calls
· Receiving and sorting daily mail
· Upholding the mission statement and philosophy statement of SpringBrook Village of La Crescent
RESPONSIBLE TO: Business Manager
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: (Illustrative examples, not all inclusive)
1. Welcome guest and greet people who visit the location
2. Coordinate front-desk activities, including distributing correspondence and redirecting phone calls
3. Direct visitors to the appropriate person and/or location
4. Ensure reception area is tidy and presentable, with all necessary stationery and materials (ex. Pens, forms and brochures)
5. Provide basic and accurate information in-person and via phone/email
6. Responds to the requests of residents, families, and staff needs in a professional manner
7. Assists in maintaining resident confidentiality in a professional manner
8. Perform other clerical receptionist duties such as filing, photocopying, transcribing and faxing, mailing monthly statements
9. Communicates with residents, family members, and staff in a caring and respectful manner
10. Communicates any resident or staff concerns to management
11. Deliver mail to MC residents or any mail/parcels the post carrier delivers to the desk (any medications delivered for IL residents cannot be accepted by receptionist, carrier must deliver to residents themselves)
12. Meal tickets for sale ($6.00 normal price, $10.00 for holiday meals) give money to Business Manager
13. Make resident appointment packets
14. Monitoring the SONOS music system
15. Make popcorn (Monday, Wednesday and Fridays)
16. Ordering stamps for residents as needed
17. Completing change of address forms for residents as needed
18. Maintain private dining and activity room reservation requests for residents and management
19. Attends mandatory meetings and participates in scheduled staff meetings and ongoing in-service opportunities as needed
20. Part of Manager on Call Rotation
21. Work as a Medication Assistant or Resident Care Assistant as needed.
22. Assist with scheduling as needed
23. Other duties as assigned by the management team
EXPERIENCE AND/OR TRAINING:
1. High School education or equivalent
2. Experience working with the advanced age, Alzheimer’s and Dementia preferred
3. Experience in a related field preferred
4. Experience with scheduling or previous use of EasyShifts.com preferred
