Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the kitchen staff, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
- Plan and develop innovative menus that meet dietary needs and preferences.
- Oversee food preparation, cooking, and presentation to ensure quality standards are met.
- Manage inventory, including ordering supplies and minimizing waste.
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain a clean and organized kitchen.
- Collaborate with the dietary department to accommodate special dietary requirements.
- Train and mentor kitchen staff in culinary techniques, food safety practices, and shift management.
- Monitor kitchen operations during service to ensure efficiency and quality control.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Chef or in a similar culinary leadership role.
- Strong knowledge of culinary techniques, food management, and safety standards.
- Experience in menu planning and inventory management is highly desirable.
- Ability to lead a team effectively while maintaining high morale among staff members.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Familiarity with bartending is a plus but not required.
- A passion for cooking and creativity in developing new dishes is essential.
