Job Summary:
We are seeking compassionate Personal Care Assistants (PCAs) to provide daily support to residents in our nursing home. You will assist with personal care, mobility, and daily living activities to ensure the comfort and well-being of our residents. This role involves working closely with nursing staff and other team members to deliver quality care in a respectful and professional manner.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist residents with personal hygiene, including bathing, grooming, and toileting.
Help with mobility, transferring residents in and out of bed, chairs, or wheelchairs.
Support with feeding and ensuring residents receive proper nutrition and hydration.
Perform light housekeeping to maintain a clean, safe environment.
Assist with ADLs such as dressing, grooming, and brushing teeth.
Monitor residents’ well-being and report any changes to nursing staff.
Remind residents to take medications as prescribed.
Engage in meaningful activities and provide companionship to enhance residents’ quality of life.
Qualifications:
Previous experience in a caregiving or healthcare setting preferred.
Strong communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.
Ability to assist with physical tasks, including lifting and mobility support.
CPR/First Aid certification preferred.
Must pass background checks and health screenings.
