Who We Are:
The Springfield City School District, home to The John Legend Theatre, is seeking a Speech Language Pathologist for the 2025-26 school year. We are a nationally ranked Division I District serving approximately 7,500 Pre-K through grade 12 students, in a vibrant learning community of 17 state of the art buildings in west-central Ohio. As a Speech Language Pathologist you are required to:
- A valid Ohio Speech-Language License from the Ohio Board of Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology (OBSLPA) and the Ohio Department of Education (ODE), or CFY eligible
- Expertise in the identification and implementation of a speech-language therapy program
- Master's Degree
As a Speech Language Pathologist to promote workplace safety, employees are expected to exercise caution and comply with district procedures to reduce exposure to the following situations:
- Provide quality therapy to preschool (3-5 years), and/or K-12 programs district wide. This may include home-based instuction
- Provide direct and consultive services to students, teachers, staff and families.
- Maintain complete and accurate therapy records and comply with ETR and IEP timelines.
- Maintain positive interpersonal relationships and believe in teamwork.
- Organize assignments and time without compromising quality of service to achieve maximum student academic performance.
- Continually achieve personal and professional development.
What We Offer:
As a Full Time contracted employee, Speech Language Pathologist work 183 days, 8 hours per day per year with a possibility of extended days. Part Time: Hourly position optional

Starting salary is in accordance with the negotiated agreement, increases with experience and education. In addition, Springfield is also able to offer a $3,000 retention compensation to all Speech Language Pathologists.
