Who We Are

The Springfield City School District, home to The John Legend Theatre, is seeking a Substitute Food Service Equipment Operator for the 2024-2025 school year. We are a nationally ranked Division I District serving approximately 7,500 Pre-K through grade 12 students, in a vibrant learning community of 17 state of the art buildings in west-central Ohio. As a Substitue Food Service Equipment Operator you are required to

• A High School diploma or equivalent
• Must possess a valid State of Ohio driver's license and be insurable through the school district insurance carrier?
  
  

As a Substitute Food Service Equipment Operator you will

• Makes Deliveries as directed and as needed throughout the district to promote efficiency of the operation.
• Performs assigned workload to the standards that have been developed by the Food and Nutrition Department.
• Collects monies as per procedure and route in the assigned timeframe.
• Adheres to all local, state, and federal vehicle operation laws. Drives in a safe and courteous manner.
• Follows the systems that are utilized to maintain compliance with all regulatory agency requirements.
• Serves as a contact at the assigned school for issues that may arise. Reports all issues to the Supervisor of Food & Nutrition in a timely manner.
• Operates a lift gate and performs loading and unloading operations required for the equipment, supplies, and other goods that are in need of transport
• Operates all equipment according to the standard operating procedure safetly and with efficiency
• Ability to follow oral and written instructions.
• Completes daily paperwork as required.
• Must be able to lift a minimum of fifty (50) pound weight; move palletized goods with the aid of a motorized or non-motorized forklift.

What We Offer

Training is provided by the Springfield City School District at no cost to you.

Starting salary is $15.00 per hour

Substitutes are temporary at will employees and work on an as needed basis.
