JOB SUMMARY: The successful applicant will develop, plan, and successfully deliver English Language Arts curriculum courses to 10th-12th grade students at the main campus of Springfield-Clark Career Technology Center.
SALARY & CONTRACT: Placement on the Springfield-Clark CTC Certified Salary Schedule and Benefits Package, based upon education and experience. The 2025-2026 salary chart has not been finalized as this is a contract negotiation year. The current year contract initial hire salary range for the 2024-25 school year is $47,176-$83,421.

QUALIFICATIONS INCLUDE BUT NOT LIMITED TO:
- A current, valid Ohio license or certificate for instruction of English Language Arts for grades 9-12.
- A record free of criminal violation that would prohibit public school employment. Must pass a BCI/FBI background check.
- Demonstrates professionalism and contributes to a positive work environment.
- Meets all mandated health requirements and complies with drug-free workplace rules and board policies.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Create learning opportunities using diverse instruction techniques. Develop and maintain a positive learning environment conducive to effective learning. Stimulate student interest. Evaluate the needs of students based on all available information. Plan student interventions. Vary instructional techniques to support individual learning styles.
- Design and administer appropriate assessments to monitor student learning. Actively prepare students for both academic and career technical competency tests. Analyze assessment data to inform instructional decisions and provide targeted support to students as needed.
- Help parents and students understand academic and behavioral objectives. Establish and maintain open lines of communication with students and their parent/guardian concerning classroom performance and behavior.
- Provide individualized support and feedback to students to help them develop their English language skills and achieve academic success. Foster a supportive and inclusive learning environment where students feel empowered to grow and engage actively in their language learning journey.
- Collaborate with staff and administration at Springfield-Clark CTC.
- Maintain complete and accurate records as required by law, district policy and administrative regulation.
- Actively assist in upholding and enforcing school rules, administrative regulation and Board Policy and goals.
- Attend district and state professional development events.
- Maintain an acceptable attendance record and be punctual.
- Perform other specific-job related duties as directed.
