JOB SUMMARY: The successful applicant will provide instruction in the new Information Technology Programming & Software Development Career Technical pathway at Northwestern Junior & Senior High School.
SALARY & CONTRACT: Placement on the Springfield-Clark CTC Certified Salary Schedule and Benefits Package, based upon education and experience. The 2025-2026 salary chart has not been finalized as this is a contract negotiation year. The current year contract initial hire salary range for the 2024-25 school year is $47,176-$83,421.
QUALIFICATIONS INCLUDE BUT NOT LIMITED TO:
The district will assist in the ODE teaching licensure process. The applicant must have or be able to obtain for the 2025-2026 school year a current, valid Ohio teaching license appropriate for the assignment in Information Technology or have or be willing to obtain a Career-Tech Workforce Development (CTWD) License based on work experience in the IT field.
To be eligible to apply for the CTWD license, the applicant must have either:
o High school diploma and 5 years of related work experience; - OR
o OR- 2-year HS career-technical program in IT and 4 years of related work experience;
o OR- Associate degree in IT field and 3 years of related work experience;
o OR- Bachelor/Master’s degree in IT field and 2 years of related work experience.
• Has or is able to obtain LeanSix Sigma certifications.
• Complies with drug-free workplace rules and board policies.
• Meets all mandated health and background screening requirements including FBI/BCI checks.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Collaborates with Springfield-Clark CTC and Northwestern Junior and Senior High School staff and leadership.
• Creates learning opportunities using diverse instruction techniques. Develops and maintains a positive learning environment that engages students in the curriculum. Individualizes instruction and works with students with a variety of needs and abilities.
• Evaluates student performance and consults with parents/guardians as needed.
• Implements effective student management procedures. Maintains standards and upholds student code of conduct. Stimulates student interest.
• Maintains accurate records and submits reports on time.
• Promotes a favorable image of both Springfield-Clark and Northwestern school districts.
• Assumes any other responsibilities as assigned by the Board of Education, Superintendent, or Administration.
