What are the responsibilities and job description for the 2025-2026 Principal - Springfield Elementary School position at Springfield Elementary?
The successful candidate supervises instruction and curriculum development; and functions as building manager, instructional leader, school climate leader, staff developer, and school/community relations specialist. The Principal must have direct leadership experience in Virginia Department of Education processes such as assessment, data collection, testing, and accountability. Familiarity with measurement tools for academic progress and other VDOE improvement tools is essential. The Principal must be able to foster a team effort geared towards facilitating school academic success. The successful candidate must hold or be eligible for a Virginia teaching license with Administration & Supervision PK-12 endorsement.
