Temporary Maintenance Custodian

Job Summary: The Maintenance Custodian is responsible and accountable for maintaining the building in a clean and safe condition. The Maintenance Custodian works closely with the Director of Operations, Maintenance team and the school administrative team. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: •Collects and disposes of waste, shovels snow, maintains exterior sidewalks, and assists in keeping exterior premises in an orderly, groomed condition; •Performs repairs and maintenance of building by patching walls and doors, painting walls and trim, and replacing fixtures and partitions; •Replaces damaged ceiling and floor tiles, and repairs carpet; •Reports to supervisor damages or needed repairs requiring outside attention; •Performs routine maintenance and minor repairs to plumbing, electrical, HVAC and sprinkler systems; •Able to perform basic maintenance on fire, security, and alarm systems; •Scrubs, dusts, sweeps, mops, vacuums, waxes and polishes floors in rooms, hallways, and common areas; •Turns heating and air conditioning equipment on and off; •Moves furniture as requested and/or required; •Use of ladders and a variety of hand tools may be required; •Performs related duties as required or assigned.
