Job Summary:
The Site Lead will provide day-to-day support to staff at the assigned site. The Site Lead will work closely with the Health Center Director to ensure the effective management of clinical activity and resources. The Site Lead will perform all duties of the Medical Assistant or Medical Office Coordinator as assigned in addition to the duties assigned by the Health Center Director.
The major duties which are regularly performed and normally assigned to the position
- Performs all duties as described in the Medical Assistant or Medical Office Coordinator job description depending on assignment.
- Collaborates with the Health Center Director to achieve a smooth and proper office schedule for nursing, front staff, and provider staff. This includes assisting with callouts.
- Participates in the selection, training, and mentoring of support staff.
- Collaborates with the Health Center Director to ensure the efficient and effective operation of the health center while maximizing the patient experience, patient access and provider time.
- Model positivity, collaboration, excellence in customer service.
- Assists with the management of supply inventory to ensure all necessary supplies are available for patient care.
- Participates in multiple communication methods including a daily huddle to communicate practice and patient information to all team members.
- Is responsible to ensure patient care tasks are completed in a timely manner. Assists staff with daily duties and tasks and performs all tasks necessary within scope.
- Knows, understands and values the duties of the different clinic roles and supports staff in these roles to perform at their best.
- Assumes the role of Athena Superuser.
- Greets patients in a professional, polite, prompt, helpful, friendly, positive, and welcoming manner. Represent North Star Health in a positive helpful manner.
- Demonstrates flexibility in work schedule and location based on the needs of the organization.
- Performs all other duties as assigned.
Education:
- High School diploma or equivalent
Experience:
- Experience in a healthcare related role. Experience in primary care preferred.
- Experience in a leadership or supervisory role.
- Working knowledge of medical terminology and HIPAA regulations
Knowledge and Abilities:
