Position Summary
** NEW MANAGEMENT AS OF 1-1-2023**
The Nurses Aide assists the licensed nursing staff by performing routine nursing duties and activities of daily living.
Qualifications:
- Successful completion of a State Tested Nurse Aide training program.
- Prior geriatric nursing aide experience is preferred.
- Registration with State registry required.
- Ability to understand and follow instructions, communicate effectively and performs simple arithmetic.
- Ability to document care given.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Assists residents with dressing, grooming, eating, bathing, positioning, turning, toileting, transfers, transports, escorts and exercising
- Reports and records observations and results of treatments, tests and procedures and specimens when indicated.
- Answers signal lights promptly.
- Change bed linens, make beds and keep rooms clean and orderly. Maintains safe and sanitary work stations and equipment.
- Encourages independence, attendance at activities, restorative programs and rehabilitation.
- Encourages restorative care in order to obtain maximum resident independence.
- Commits to high ethical standards and complies with the Code of Conduct, state and federal regulations, accreditation standards and Concordia policies and procedures.
