Responsibilities:
- Oversee the dietary department and ensure the provision of high-quality meals and nutritional care for patients/residents.
- Conduct diagnostic evaluations and patient assessments to determine specific dietary needs and requirements.
- Develop and implement individualized care plans to address dietary concerns and promote overall health and well-being.
- Manage the budget for the dietary department, including purchasing food supplies and equipment.
- Supervise dietary staff, providing guidance and support to ensure efficient operations and adherence to food safety regulations.
- Provide leadership in promoting a positive dining experience for patients/residents, including menu planning, meal preparation, and service.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to coordinate dietary services with other aspects of patient/resident care.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in dietary management and leadership within healthcare settings
- Strong knowledge of nutrition, dietetics, and physiology
- Proficient in menu planning and meal preparation
- Experience in developing and implementing care plans
- Budgeting and financial management skills
- Familiarity with patient assessment and assisted living environments
- Supervisory experience in dietary departments
- Ability to provide health coaching and support tube feeding when necessary
