DESCRIPTION: The Senior Analyst Solutions Architect will lead activities that guide the development, implementation, maintenance and support for a portfolio of technology solutions. These solutions include applications, projects, processes, and database systems. The Senior Analyst Solutions Architect will collaborate to interpret business needs and translate business and technical requirements. The candidate will assess technology capabilities and lead systems implementations. The Senior Analyst Solutions Architect will act as a technical lead, consultant, and product owner over a broad range of applications to drive targeted organizational outcomes.
Duties:
- Reports to the Business Information Systems Manager.
- Lead activities that guide the development, implementation, maintenance and support of a defined portfolio of technology solutions.
- Serve as the technical lead, consultant, and product owner over a range of applications.
- Direct changes and refactoring of application codebases.
- Coordinate the development and implementation of system enhancements
- Direct efforts to modernize and automate business processes.
- Support project managers on project planning and project execution.
- Monitor the current-state solution portfolio to identify and recommend opportunities for improvement, efficiency, deprecation, or replacement.
- Work collaboratively with end-users to develop system specifications and formalize business rules.
- Develop and maintain end-user documentation.
- Develop test cases to validate business and functional requirements.
- Coordinate user acceptance testing (UAT).
- Maintain application security for specified systems
- Provide end-user support and training.
- Any other duties assigned by Business Information Systems Manager, CIO, or Superintendent of Schools.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in information systems, computer science, or related study.
- Strong technical experience supporting data systems or business applications.
- Understanding of SDLC, Agile, or other modern application development methodologies.
- Experience with project management concepts and strategies.
- Must understand application security and authentication. Experience with Microsoft Active Directory is preferred.
- Experience with both on-prem and cloud-native application architectures is preferred.
- Knowledge of SQL and experience with database management systems is preferred.
- Knowledge of one or more programming languages is preferred (C#, Javascript, Python).
- Experience using modern data and analytics platforms preferred (ex., Power BI or Tableau).
- Experience using Microsoft Power Platform is preferred.
- Understanding of data integration patterns using API interfaces is preferred.
- Understanding of Git version control system and CI/CD deployment pattern is preferred.
- Excellent analytical, planning, organizational and technical skills.
- Must be able to produce clearly written documentation.
- The ability to manage multiple projects at once.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work with developers and vendors in an outsourced environment.
- Must be able to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Requires a minimum of three or more years as a business analyst, application analyst, systems analyst; or a role supporting IT initiatives including application development or database management.
Annual Salary - $66,114.00 - $93,466.00 (depending on experience)
