What are the responsibilities and job description for the Inside Sales Representative (Part-Time) position at Springfield Thunderbirds?
Job Summary:
The Inside Sales Representative is responsible for generating new business as it relates to Springfield Thunderbirds Ticket Inventory. It includes the selling of all FSE, group and special package categories through cold-calling, face to face appointments, and networking.
Essential Functions:
- Prospect, establish, research, and close ticket sales leads through cold-calling, appointments, and networking.
- Adhere to department guidelines in relation to call volume and outside networking opportunities.
- Work closely with Ticket Operations to achieve sales and prospecting goals.
- Consistently enter client data into Pac ticketing system and CRM system throughout the sales process to aid in information sharing between sales and service.
- Maintain high level of customer service to existing and new clients of the Springfield Thunderbirds.
- Participate in various sales, team, and community events as assigned.
- Represent the organization at various networking events and/or offsite community events promoting ticket sales.
- Take an active role in the Springfield Thunderbird game day experience.
- Maintain accurate records in support of the sales efforts as defined by the organization.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Strong verbal and written communication skills required.
- Strong customer service and interpersonal skills
- Ability to handle heavy phone volume, both outbound and inbound.
- Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays as dictated by games and events.
Work Environment
- Ability to work with very little supervision and on own.
- Also need the ability to be able to work within a group.
Physical Demands
- Ability to carry boxes up to 10lbs.
- Ability to stoop, bend, and lift as well as be on your feet for extended periods of time.
Travel Required
- Minimal Travel and most local.
Suggested Education & Experience Guidelines:
- Course Work from an accredited college or university with major course work in sales, sports management, retail, or another related field.
- Minimum of (1) year Sales experience and classes
Work Authorization/ Security Clearance Requirements
- Must have valid Driver’s Lisc. To travel to community events.
