Job Description
The Springhill Suites Amarillo West Medical Center is now hiring a Maintenance technician. The Maintenance technician is responsible for the upkeep and maintenance of the hotel including guest rooms, common areas, meeting space, fitness center, and pool area, on an ongoing basis and also conducting preventative maintenance on guest rooms. The Maintenance technician also assists in repairs and maintenance of all hotel equipment.
Job Duties:
- Respond to all guests requests and work orders in a timely and efficient manner.
- Maintain all mechanical areas in a clean and orderly fashion.
- Inspect public areas daily for any issues.
- Repairs may include but are not limited to plumbing, kitchen, mechanical, laundry, electrical, heating, cooling, ventilation, furnishings and fixtures, painting, wall cover & sheetrock repairs, light carpentry, door and window repairs.
- Maintain the rooms preventative maintenance program and consistently keep updated records on file.
Qualifications
Minimum Experience, Education, Skill & Physical Requirements: At least 1 year of related general repair experience preferred
- Knowledge of painting, caulking, basic electrcial and HVAC and General Maintenance
- Must be flexible in hours and days worked
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds without assistance and up to 140 pounds with assistance
- Must display very good organization and time management skills
- Obtain any locally required certification as needed
