Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Maintenance Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation and maintenance of our facilities. This role requires a proactive approach to problem-solving and a strong understanding of various maintenance tasks, including electrical work, painting, and general facilities upkeep. The Maintenance Technician will play a crucial role in maintaining a safe and efficient environment for all occupants.
Duties
- Perform routine maintenance tasks on residential properties, including painting, electrical repairs, and general upkeep.
- Conduct inspections of facilities to identify potential issues and ensure compliance with safety standards.
- Utilize schematics to troubleshoot and repair electrical systems and equipment.
- Supervise maintenance staff and coordinate work schedules to ensure timely completion of projects.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities using Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS).
- Lead initiatives to improve facility operations and implement preventive maintenance strategies.
- Operate tools such as an ohmmeter for diagnosing electrical problems.
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests from residents or management, ensuring high-quality service delivery.
Requirements
- Proven experience in facilities maintenance or a related field.
- Strong knowledge of residential painting techniques and electrical systems.
- Ability to read and interpret schematics effectively.
- Proficiency in English for clear communication with team members and residents.
- Experience supervising staff is preferred but not mandatory.
- Familiarity with CMMS software is a plus.
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and guide a team.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
