Description
- Plan schedule so that all meal times are covered.
- Assure adequate coverage in all areas at meal time. Make assignments
- Oversee line setup and assure that all items needed are available.
- Oversee food service employees, and fill in as needed for absent employees.
- Check holding temperatures of foods at each mealtime to assure they are within federal safety ranges.
- Communicate guest numbers to production staff that affect amounts of food needed.
- Inspect units for safety and sanitation.
- Actively participate in maintaining food quality standards and records.
- Counsel, discipline and reprimand employees.
- Perform other related duties as needed.
Qualifications
Minimum of 2 years food service experience and 1year supervisory experience (may be promoted from within). Must have a high school diploma or equivalent. Must be self-motivated and flexible. Must be prepared to work in a fast-paced environment and perform moderate physical labor, such as lifting up to 25 lbs. Patience and understanding are required when dealing with residents and employees, as are professional appearance and attitude. Must be able to read, speak and write English.
Salary : $16 - $23
