We’re currently hiring qualified and energetic RN/LPN (Part Time) to join our team of talented caregivers.
This RN/LPN (Part Time) position is 7a.m. - 3p.m. every other weekend. Duties will include the following:
- Monitors patient care as delivered by C.N.A.'s assigned to Supportive Living Area..
- Performs episodic routine charting to include, but not limited to: observation, response to medications and changes in normal condition.
- Completes appropriate documentation for admission, discharge, and transfer of residents
- Routinely checks each patient assigned, notes changes in conditions, and follows through with appropriate action to meet resident's needs
- Notifies Outpatient Service Director, attending physician and family of significant changes in condition or injury.
- Administers medications and treatments to patients as ordered by physician.
- Oversees daily shift assignments, consistent with resident's needs and staffing guidelines.
- Gives guidance to personnel as needed and assesses changes in health status of all residents.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Observe, record and report changes in condition.
- Punching in and out on a timeclock according to required job hours.
- Adhere strictly to the written plan of care created by the RN Supervisor
- Must be able to perform basic assessment of client both visually and verbally.
- Must be able to effectively communicate with residents regarding their needs.
- Must be able to meet client’s needs as outlined in care plan.
- Must be physically fit and strong enough to push wheelchairs, perform lifts or other job functions as required.
- Encourage the client to be as active and independent as possible.
- Keep environments safe for the client by keeping floors clear of debris, keeping ambulatory pathways wide enough and clear of obstacles.
- Know and observe Patient’s Bill of Rights.
- Ability to learn new tasks as directed and operate equipment as required.
- Attending in-service classes and staff meetings.
- Maintain listing as Nurse Aide I in NC Nurse Aide Registry.
- Be able to understand, speak and read English fluently.
Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Minimum age 18years of age.
- Must be a high school graduate or have equivalent thereof (GED).
- Must have Computer Skills (Microsoft Office Products)
- Must be able to read, write and follow instructions.
- A minimum of one year’s experience in geriatrics or geriatric certification is desired.
- Must be in good mental and physical condition.
- Must be willing to follow instructions and cooperate with other personnel.
- Must be dependable in reporting to work and performing duties.
- Must be trustworthy and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Any needs outside of those specified by the Plan of Care should be reported to the Health Care Supervisor who may modify the plan.
- LICENSE OR CERTIFICATION: Licensed RN/LPN - State of NC
Salary : $27 - $35
