As a key member of the team, the Maintenance Supervisor plays a vital role in ensuring the overall daily operations and upkeep of the community in areas such as maintenance, housekeeping, grounds, safety, and security.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement a comprehensive maintenance plan to ensure the upkeep of the facility and grounds.
- Supervise and manage staff within the housekeeping, maintenance, and security departments, including recruitment, interviewing, selecting, and hiring personnel.
- Maintain accurate records of staff performance, including written position descriptions and performance appraisals.
- Prepare and track budgets for all areas, including staff equipment, supplies, and capital requests.
- Analyze bids from contractors and develop a preventative maintenance program for the physical plant and equipment.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and provide training programs as needed.
- Inspect and maintain the grounds of the facility, including general cleanup of walkways and entrances.
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Minimum 3 years of maintenance experience.
- Prior experience in an LTC/Hospital setting preferred.
