General Description
A Receiver/Food Handler is responsible for the ordering, receiving, stocking and rotating of all necessary food and non-food products for Disney's Coronado Springs. In addition, a Food Handler may perform inventory, and must ensure all storage areas are neat, clean and organized.
In order to be successful, a Food Handler must be able to work safely and efficiently in a variety of working conditions. Teamwork is essential, and building/maintaining positive relationships with coworkers, other members of the Food and Beverage Team, and our vendors is imperative.
Work Duties
- Follow all safety and food sanitation processes at all times
- Receive all food/product deliveries and ensure accuracy
- Note and report any discrepancies between purchase orders and delivery invoices
- Store all food/product deliveries in the proper location and within food-handling time limits
- Date and/or rotate food/product as necessary to ensure older product is used first (“FIFO”)
- Clean and organize all storage areas as necessary to ensure cleanliness and efficiency
- Note and report any expired product
- Place food/product orders as necessary following current processes
- Perform food/product inventories as necessary following current processes
- Train new Food Handlers as necessary in proper processes and procedures
- All other tasks as assigned
