Job Summary:                             

We are seeking a reliable and safety-focused CDL Driver to join our SunSetter team in Texas. The CDL Driver will be responsible for transporting goods efficiently and on schedule, ensuring all deliveries are completed according to safety standards and company guidelines. This role requires excellent driving skills, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work independently in compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.

Responsibilities:                       

• Operate company vehicles, including heavy trucks, to transport goods to specified locations in a safe and timely manner.
• Inspect and maintain vehicles before and after each trip, including checking fluid levels, tire pressure, and other essential vehicle functions.
• Load and unload cargo, ensuring it is secure and protected during transit.
• Follow assigned routes and schedules, with a focus on punctuality and efficiency.
• Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, and fuel usage.
• Adhere to all DOT regulations and safety standards, including hours of service and vehicle inspection logs.
• Communicate effectively with dispatchers, reporting any delays, accidents, or other issues promptly.
• Assist in routine maintenance of vehicles to ensure longevity and safety of operations.

Requirements

Qualifications:                           

• Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) - Class A or B required.
• Clean driving record with no major violations.
• Minimum of 1-2 years of experience as a CDL driver preferred.
• Strong knowledge of DOT regulations and safety procedures.
• Ability to lift heavy objects and load/unload cargo.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to follow directions.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
