Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Medical Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment, supporting both clinical and administrative tasks. This position requires a strong understanding of medical terminology, patient care protocols, and the ability to work effectively with a team.

  • Measure and record vital signs, including blood pressure, temperature, and pulse.
  • Assist healthcare providers during examinations and procedures.
  • Prepare patients for their appointments by ensuring they are comfortable and informed.
  • Maintain accurate patient records, including coding for billing purposes.
  • Administer medications as directed by physicians and monitor patient responses.
  • Perform basic laboratory tests and assist with medical-surgical procedures.
  • Educate patients on dermatology care, treatment plans, and follow-up instructions.
  • Ensure compliance with health regulations and maintain a clean working environment.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to optimize patient care.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Medical Assistant or similar role in a healthcare setting.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology, physiology, and coding practices.
  • Experience in outpatient care settings is preferred; familiarity with trauma center operations is a plus.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with patients and staff.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Certification as a Medical Assistant (CMA) or equivalent is preferred but not mandatory.
  • A compassionate approach to patient care with a commitment to maintaining confidentiality.
